Ethosource got their start by recycling and refurbishing Herman Miller Ethospace furniture, which they continue to do to this day. In doing this, the company has become very well known for their work with this specific office system. It is through their recognition that they are able to obtain inventory of Ethospace from other companies to refurbish. However, they have since evolved and now offer over 100 new manufacturers of open line furniture as well as their own proprietary products. Their work with recycling and refurbishing serves as a sustainable and environmentally conscious way to provide their services to clients.
What sets Ethosource apart from similar retailers is their consultative approach to their client’s projects. This process involves asking a client various questions concerning their goals, time, budget, and needs in their office space. Both a design team and account manager begin to work with the client to bring their vision to life within their office space. Throughout the process, the client has control over the project through their choices in layouts, designs, products, and finishes among many other choices that best fit their budget and needs.
When working with an office space, Ethosource provides the client with renderings that show what the office will look like. This visual aspect allows for the client to adjust and make revisions, so their office is transformed exactly to their liking. The client holds a large amount of control over their project. Ethosource is there to consult, guide, and bring their vision to life.
Sarah McDaniel of Ethosource states that “We hear time and time again that people love working with our team because they feel like we listen and understand their needs and we are engaged.” She continues, “They always say they have a pleasant experience working with Ethosource.”
Since their founding in 2001, Ethsource has remained locally based in Pennsylvania. They are able to provide their services across the country utilizing the same locally based employees. This sets them apart from competitors, because there is a consistency and cohesiveness with their work and service. The company branched their operations to Montgomery County in 2014. Ethosource’s current goal is to be the go-to office furniture resource in Montgomery County.
Fortunately, Ethosource was able to quickly adapt once COVID-19 impacted the world. Since Ethosource operates across the country, the company always utilized a virtual business model to contact their clients. Meaning, there was not a major change in company operations as a result of the pandemic.
Ethosource is active with many foundations, organizations, and nonprofits. They have worked with The Caron Foundation, The YMCA, The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County, The King of Prussia Business District, Women 2 Women, and Safe Berks.
Ethosource has accomplished a great deal since their founding within countless office spaces across the country and within their own local community.
